Danny CRM · For recruiters
A simple CRM for recruiters to track candidates and clients
Updated · by Vidagdhan Technologies
Short answer
Recruiters who work from the phone can use Danny CRM to keep candidates and clients in one list, with the history of every call, WhatsApp and note, interview stages as tags, details like notice period and expected salary as custom fields, and reminders for each follow-up. It imports your existing candidate sheet in a minute. Free for up to 50 contacts; Pro is $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year (local prices in Google Play), with a 7-day free trial on yearly.
Much of recruiting happens on the phone: calls, WhatsApps, quick notes after an interview, and remembering to follow up. A spreadsheet or your phone's contacts can't hold that history.
Danny CRM keeps the conversation history with each candidate and client, so you always know where things stand.
Applicant tracking system (ATS) vs Danny CRM
| Topic | Applicant tracking system | Danny CRM |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Running hiring: job posts, applications, résumé screening | Keeping relationships: who you spoke to, what was said, what's next |
| Best for | Companies and agencies managing many open roles | Individual recruiters and small agencies working the phone |
| Candidate history | Usually focused on the application | Every call, WhatsApp, text, email and note, with dates |
| On the phone | Varies; often desktop-first | Built for the phone; one tap to call or WhatsApp |
| Setup | Often configured per company | Minutes; import your candidate sheet |
How recruiters use Danny CRM
- Tags for stages and roles: Shortlisted, Interview, Offer sent, On hold, Client.
- Custom fields for what you track: notice period, current and expected salary, location, role.
- One tap to call or WhatsApp a candidate; the touch is logged on their timeline.
- A quick note after each call ("Interview confirmed Thursday 11 am"), with the outcome.
- Follow-up reminders for interviews, offers and candidates who asked you to call back.
- Filter by tags to see, for example, everyone shortlisted for one client.
Bring your candidate list across
Export your candidate sheet (or a job portal's download) as .xlsx or .csv and import it from Settings → Import contacts. Names, numbers, emails and companies are matched automatically; other columns, such as experience or CTC, become notes on each candidate.
What Danny CRM doesn't do (yet)
- It isn't an applicant tracking system: no job posts, career page or résumé parsing.
- Android only for now; no iPhone app or web version yet.
- Shared lists for a recruiting team aren't available yet (team plans are on the waitlist).
Frequently asked questions
Is Danny CRM an ATS?
No. It doesn't post jobs or parse résumés. It's a simple CRM for keeping track of candidates and clients and every conversation with them, which many recruiters use alongside job portals.
Can I track notice period and expected salary?

How do I track interview stages?
Use tags such as Shortlisted, Interview and Offer sent, then filter the list by tag. Each tag change is recorded on the candidate's timeline.
